Daffodils

The recent strong winds have damaged a few of the Daffodil stems but that just gave me an excuse to cut some for a vase. The ones which suffered most are the double and multiple Daffodils which look beautiful but are obviously too heavy for their stems.

The winds seem to be blowing everywhere these days! My hubby came home on Sat., saying that in the morning it was so windy that he had two coats on while working in-and outside.
Well, you have a nice excuse for some beautiful flowers on your table LOL

  4. Horrible, windy weekend here too but today the wind has died down a little... certainly enough to make life a bit more pleasant! Beautiful daffodils so enjoy the bounty... warm wishes to you, Vxx

  5. We haven't any blooms yet here in Massachusetts, but the buds are up and I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful blossoms>

  6. They are such happy flowers, aren't they? I just bought a bunch for me and my mother at my favorite store, Trader Joe's. Love them, both the flower and the store!

  7. Of my three favorites, Daffodils always arrive first.

(Love Daisies and Monkey-Face Pansies too!)

  8. Gosh Deedee, how do you survive such a long winter? I know winters were longer here when I was young but somehow when the daffodils arrive I am more than ready for Spring to begin (even though they sometimes end up buried in the snow for a day or so).
